General Terms and Conditions

Scope of Application

Bookings for services provided by Taikuri-Adventures are made exclusively on the basis of the following Terms and Conditions. By booking, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full.

1. Conclusion of Contract
Booking requests can be submitted via the contact form on our website (www.taikuri-adventures.com) or directly by email to taikuri-adventures@web.de.

1.1 Payment
After submitting a booking request, the customer will receive a booking confirmation including a request to pay a deposit of 20% of the total tour price (for week-long tours).
A place for the requested period/date is only considered bindingly reserved once the deposit has been received.
The remaining balance must be paid in full by bank transfer no later than 4 weeks prior to the start of the event week.
For short-notice bookings (less than 4 weeks before the start date), no deposit is required; the full amount must be paid immediately by bank transfer.

2. Services
Services are generally provided as described on our website. However, the program and specific focus of a booked event may be slightly adjusted if necessary and/or reasonable for the safe and proper execution of the event.
Such changes may result from weather conditions affecting feasibility or from other circumstances (e.g., considerations regarding the welfare of horses or dogs).
In such cases, the customer is not entitled to a partial refund, provided the essential services have been delivered.

3. Participation Requirements
Since Taikuri-Adventures offers active outdoor experiences involving work and cooperation with horses and dogs, certain requirements apply to all participants. These requirements ensure the highest possible standards of safety and feasibility for both humans and animals.
Requirements may include:

• Physical aspects such as maximum weight limits

• Minimum levels of fitness and endurance

• Specific prior knowledge or experience

The respective requirements for each tour are clearly stated on the website and are mandatory conditions of participation.
If a participant fails to meet or disregards these requirements, participation may be denied to prevent safety risks or unreasonable strain on the animals (see also Section 5 – Liability).
We strongly advise against participation during pregnancy or in cases of back or spinal conditions.
Participants are obliged to inform the organizer immediately of any relevant physical or psychological conditions that may affect their ability to take part in the event/tour.

4. Withdrawal / Cancellation / Rebooking by the Customer
All changes must be submitted in writing to Taikuri-Adventures to be valid. The deposit is generally non-refundable and will be credited toward any applicable cancellation fees.

Cancellation / Rebooking Fees for Week-Long Tours:

• From 120 days before tour start: 20% of total price

• From 90 days before tour start: 40% of total price

• From 60 days before tour start: 60% of total price

• From 30 days before tour start: 80% of total price

• From 10 days before tour start or in case of no-show: 100% of total price

Cancellation / Rebooking Fees for Day Tours:

• From 14 days before event date: 30% of total price

• From 10 days before event date: 60% of total price

• From 7 days before event date: 80% of total price

• From 3 days before event date or in case of no-show: 100% of total price

We strongly recommend that customers take out travel cancellation insurance and appropriate travel accident insurance (and, where applicable, liability insurance) in their home country for week-long tours to minimize potential financial risks due to unforeseen circumstances.
Participation in any event (including day tours) is at the participant’s own risk.

5. Limitation of Liability
Taikuri-Adventures offers adventure-based outdoor activities in natural environments. As such, events are subject to factors beyond our control.
Taikuri-Adventures accepts no liability for accidents, damages, property loss, injury, or death resulting from:

• Negligence on the part of the participant

• Actions of third parties

• External circumstances beyond the organizer’s control

The organizer shall only be liable for damages or injuries if caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence on its part.
Participation in any Taikuri-Adventures activity is at the participant’s own risk.
No liability is accepted for physical or psychological conditions that existed prior to participation.
Taikuri-Adventures shall not be liable for failure or improper performance of contractual obligations if caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to:

1. Misconduct or failure by the customer before or during the trip

2. Entry restrictions or external regulations affecting travel or tour execution imposed by authorities, municipalities, governments, or foreign governments

3. Weather events or force majeure

No liability is accepted for costs, losses, or expenses resulting from delays, strikes, accidents involving flights or trains, illnesses, deaths, or other circumstances beyond the control of Taikuri-Adventures. The customer bears the sole risk for such events and their consequences.
If participation requirements are not met or if rules and instructions regarding animals, tours, or behavior on the premises are not followed, Taikuri-Adventures reserves the right to exclude participants without refund or replacement program.
In exceptional cases, Taikuri-Adventures also reserves the right to cancel, interrupt, postpone, or modify an event due to safety concerns, unforeseeable natural or weather events, external circumstances, or health conditions affecting animals or staff.
In the event of postponement or cancellation, Taikuri-Adventures does not cover costs for pre-booked trains, flights, hotels, or similar arrangements. Such bookings are made at the participant’s own responsibility and expense.

6. Photo and Video Rights
Taikuri-Adventures reserves the right to store, edit, process, use, and publish photo and video material created during tours for promotional purposes, without time or geographic limitation, across all known and unknown forms of media, including but not limited to taikuri-adventures.com, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
By booking, the customer agrees to this use unless a written objection is submitted.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These General Terms and Conditions are governed by Swedish law.
In the event of disputes, the customer agrees to the jurisdiction of a Swedish court.

Severability Clause
Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions be invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
